Our Lattes & Literature gathering was an absolute dream, perfectly capturing the cozy, enchanting fall atmosphere we had envisioned. Stepping into the room felt like instantly walking into autumn, thanks to our beautifully themed decor and a spread that was a pure love letter to our book of the month.
The night's star was our September selection, The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore. This read was the perfect dose of cozy comfort! Our discussion flowed easily, covering every delightful detail of Dream Harbor - from Jeanie’s charming little coffee shop to her sweet romance with Logan.
The energy was infectious! Guests happily mingled and connected over a stunning array of refreshments. The coffee and cider bars were not only gorgeous to look at but also packed with flavor, and everyone indulged in a delightful spread of fall-spiced snacks, cupcakes, and popcorns. The air buzzed with laughter and lively chatter as new friendships blossomed and our bookish community grew stronger.
No event is complete without a little excitement! Our basket raffles were a huge hit. A massive congratulations to Sabrina McCarthy, who won the first basket, walking away with an incredible collection of bookish treasures: a One of a Kind Sherpa Blanket by Smoldering Sage Designs, a stylish Stanley Cup, a $25.00 VB Book Center Gift Card, Pumpkin Souffle Wax Melts by Wilde Ascent, and a puzzle.
Our second lucky winner was Hannah Bartkowiak, whose basket included a beautiful Stained-Glass Art Piece sponsored by Maria Britton of Sweet Karma Bar, a Blind Date Book by Between Realms, a $25 VB Book Center Gift Card, and a Pumpkin Spice Cafe Coloring Book.
We were also thrilled to showcase some fantastic local vendors! Guests enjoyed delicious matcha and created custom pieces at the jewelry charm bar from Meraki by Emilee. We also featured the lovely event-curated treats from Chubby Pops, who brought a selection of their mouthwatering cake pops.
