Books by Candlelight

Our "Books by Candlelight" event was everything we dreamed of and more, bringing together a passionate community of readers for an unforgettable night of discussion, delicious treats, and literary love.

The star of the show was our July book choice: "Spark of the Everflame" by Penn Cole. We were so excited to dive into this enemies-to-lovers romantasy with everyone. The discussion was lively and insightful, with everyone sharing their favorite moments and theories about the first book in "The Kindred’s Curse Saga." It's clear that this book has captured all of our hearts, and we can't wait to see what the rest of the series has in store.

The ambiance was everything we could have hoped for. The warm glow of candlelight set a cozy and intimate mood, perfect for deep conversation and making new friends. Guests mingled over a stunning charcuterie spread, a delightful array of fruits and cheeses that was as beautiful as it was delicious. But the fun didn't stop there! And of course, no event is complete without some friendly competition - our basket raffle was a huge success, with a very lucky Jackie Henry taking home a fantastic collection of bookish goodies, including a lush sherpa blanket and other quality items.

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who came out and made this event so special. Your energy, enthusiasm, and love for books is what makes these gatherings so meaningful. It was a joy to see so many smiling faces, new connections being made, and the shared excitement over a good story.
