• What does “BookTok” mean?
BookTok is a term that originated on TikTok - it implies a very popular or highly recommended book title, and is often associated with spicy books. This basically means that our book club is not tied down to a certain genre, but chooses from popular recommendations in the online space.

• Do all of the book club reads have explicit content/spice?
Nope, we alternate between spice and no-spice, and generally the spice level is moderate.

• When is the book of the month announced?
Our book title is released by the first of every month! The event details follow soon after.

• How is the book of the month chosen?
Our book title is chosen either by submission form or occasionally our team will choose the book. Submissions are always open, and sometimes we even request submissions from members that match the desired theme/genre. Book submissions can be submitted through this link. • Is it exclusive to women?
No, but the meetings and group itself are definitely female dominated!

• When do the events take place?
The events are generally on the fourth Friday of every month, but this is subject to change if holidays or other important dates require it to be moved.

• Where do events take place?
These events originated and take place in Vero Beach, Florida!

• I didn't finish the book, can I still attend?
ABSOLUTELY. The book discussion is actually a relatively small section of the meeting, as most of it is socialization, shopping vendors, and vibing! Book discussion is usually 30-45 minutes of the three hour event.

• What can I expect when attending an Intimate Social?
Our Intimate BookTok Socials are just what they sound like. An intimate gathering with a very limited number of tickets available. These events are low cost to attend, and have minimal immersions, but still have our signature VBBB charm! These events focus on community building, and deeper dive book discussion.

• What can I expect when attending an Immersive Experience?
You can expect to enter an immersive venue, decorated fully to match our theme of the month. There are book themed light bites, desserts, and beverages available, as well as a vendor market with local small businesses and bookish goods. The first hour of the evening is dedicated to the vendor market, as well as refreshments and early socialization. The next part is the book discussion, followed by the special interactive segment, another immersive element to bring it all together. The evening concludes with friendly competition in our highly coveted raffle! (One ticket included with admission!)

• What is the average age range?
Anywhere from early 20's to late 50's is average, but all ages are welcome!

• What if I purchased a ticket and cannot attend?
You have a few options, you can reach out to us, or post in our Facebook featured "Ticket Exchange" post!

• What is the dress code?
Each month has a new encouraged dress code! This information is available on the ticket page as well as on VBBB socials. It is not a requirement, but something fun to participate in!
