A chapter of valor!
Amazed is an understatement - this is one of my top favorite events EVER. It was the perfect way to close out our monthly larger immersive meetings and return to our roots with some more intimate gatherings on the horizon…
This event helped us channel our inner badass, from book discussion to our instructed sword and shield training, this was a victorious night to remember.
Event Highlights:
The Book: Stacia Stark takes us on a journey of bravery, suspense, romance, and plot twists. With heavy Ancient Roman / Greek Mythology references, we leaned into that with our event as well. The entire space was filled with swoon worthy greenery, grapes, and white florals. We pulled direct inspiration from the pages of We Who Will Die with purple linens and drapery throughout the space.
The Immersions: Book-inspired decor & photo ops, the entire room bathed in purple draping, with greenery flowing throughout the space, and filling our roman columns and busts.
Meat Stew - directly from the cafeteria of The Ludus (aka Kendra's Kitchen!)
Apple & Walnut Cupcakes - both flavors are mentioned in the book, and brought seamlessly together by Sweets & Sprinkles by Ashley!
Columns & Statues - mentioned throughout the book!
And OF COURSE - the hour of immersive sword & shield combat training!! It was so incredible to dive between the pages with Kelsey of Fantasy Fitness, who sponsored us for this training session!
The Moments: Our Immersive Sword & Shield Combat Training was SO FUN! The Babes broke out into groups and trained like true Gladians!
